Eli had his two month doctor appt this morning. His weight is 12 lbs 2 oz which puts him in the 74th percentile. His length is 23.25 inches - 75th percentile and his head circumference is 15.75 inches - 52nd percentile.
I thought it would be interesting to compare him to Ainsley so I looked up her stats - weight 10 lbs 8 oz (50th percentile), length 23.50 inches (90th percentile) and 15 inches (25th percentile).
His coughing seems a little better and he's not puking as much after he eats so we are really happy about that. He's still stuffy (especially at night) but so far it hasn't been anything that we can't manage at home. He received 5 vaccinations today - two shots and one oral. He cried a little but was quite the trooper.

Eli's doctor appt
Eli had a follow up doctor appointment today with our pediatrician. He was happy to hear that his appetite is slowly coming back since he has lost a little over a pound since last Friday. He also wants us to give Eli breathing treatments twice a day because of the sounds he heard when listening to his lungs.

Eli at the hospital
Here are some pictures of Eli during his stay at the hospital. We saw the doctor today and she said that he was about the same, no better but no worse. He's still getting the "deep suction" treatments to help with his nasal congestion. The nurses have started doing it a little less frequently to give his poor nose a break and try to keep it from getting swollen inside and creating more problems.
The doctor he saw last night started breathing treatments for him but the doctor we saw this morning decided to discontinue them and make them by our request only. In her opinion, he will get more good out of just the deep suction treatments and sleep than he will get out of being woken up every 3 hours for a breathing treatment. The doctor also said that we can talk about him going home once his congestion gets more manageable and when he's back to eating - at least enough to keep him from becoming dehydrated. While I was spending some quality time with Ainsley this afternoon after picking her up from school, Dave informed me that Eli actually ate 2 ounces of formula and has kept it down so far. Hopefully, this is a step in the right direction!
The nurses and the doctors at this hospital have been great and we are so happy that he is in such good hands. It was definitely worth the 13 hour wait for a bed in this hospital! Thanks for all your well wishes and prayers. I am sure he will be as good as new in no time. He was telling me just this morning that he can't wait to watch the Colts beat up on the Jets this Sunday and that he hopes he's out of his hospital crib and at home in his swing, watching it in HD :)

Ainsley's first day of "school"
Ainsley had her first day of "school" today and she learned lots of things. I have included pictures of her artwork from today. The letter of the day was "S" and the number of the day was "6". Here's what she made today:
Here's her purple "S" that her teacher helped her write...
