Ainsley's on the mend....

Ainsley has gotten her first cold, which has then turned in to an ear infection. We think she picked it up at the day care at the gym we go to. I started taking her last week and there are tons of germy little kids running around there and now our daughter is one of them too.

She woke up Monday from her morning nap with a 101.4 fever and I knew right away that something was wrong. After two trips to the doctor, we have her on amoxicillin and she seems to be feeling better. Poor thing is still pretty congested but at least we know that she should be all better soon.

Here are some new pictures that were taken this afternoon.

Her last weigh in was 12lbs 11 oz.

Going back to the blog...

So I figured that posting the pictures out on the blog might be easier than sending them to everyone and clogging up email boxes. If any of you ever want a specific picture, just email me and I will send you the file.

Ainsley is doing well and is very happy these days. She's flashing big gummy smiles all the time and will even laugh out loud too! She's doing really well sleeping at night. She goes to bed around 6:30pm and sleeps until 4am! She takes a bottle and then goes back down for a few hours. She's still not napping a ton during the day but I will trade that any day for night time sleeping. She's still on the same formula. I gave nursing one last shot when I was home in Indy a few weeks ago and the more I gave her the more her tummy seemed to bother her so I called it quits.

We've had our neighbor John Benjamin and his kids "babysit" for us a couple times now. Really, its more like house sit since she's already in bed by the time we leave. They have just been hanging out and watching tv and keeping an eye on the monitor to make sure she's ok. So far so good!

We've been able to take her out on a few outings...a birthday party last week...a trip to the mall...several lunches with my girlfriends...a few dinners...and I'm happy to report that she's done very well. The mall trip was great - it was really cute to see Dave pushing a stroller around the mall.

I just weighed her this morning and she's at 11 lbs 14.5 oz.

Here are a few more pictures. These were taken 5/28/08.

We might have an early arrival...

Had my doctors appointment yesterday and all is going well. Baby Fore has "dropped" and is getting ready for her grand entrance. My doctor thinks there is a chance that she will be ready to go next week but he will know more at my next appointment this coming Monday.

Here are some pictures of me (and Abbey) and of the nursery.

New picture and possibly a name?

Hope everyone is doing well! T-minus three weeks and counting!

Had another doctor appointment today. I've gained a pound which puts me at 30 lbs total now. Also, we are still on track for a 3/3/08 due date. It seems all the walking I've done this past week has not done a bit of good...our daughter is quite content in her little home. We will see if this is still the case next Tuesday when I go see the doc again. I'm guessing it will be.

The doctor let me know that Dave is welcome in the operating room for the birth and he can view as much or as little as he wants. I'm guessing it will be on the little side based on his face when I told him this. I told him he's free to see what he wants...all I need is for him to stay upright and make sure he doesn't need more medical attention than I do. I think when the time comes he will be just fine.

So...drumroll please....its true, we have a name. However, hate to spoil the fun but we are keeping it to ourselves. Come on... we need to keep something a surprise since we found out the sex and even have the date and time scheduled!! I will tell you all that this a new name. Some of you probably knew that we were deciding between two names...I liked one and Dave liked the other. I think we both realized that we didn't want the other to have to compromise so we came up with a new name. This beautiful name is very feminine and will fit her perfectly at any age. Its most definitely not on the list of the 10 most popular names- which is what we wanted - but then again its not Apple weird.

Dave and I also got certified in adult and infant CPR tonight. Figure its best to be prepared with a little one around. Of course you hope that you will never have to use it but at least we know what to do now.

Hmm...Eli Fore??

Yes we actually briefly considered naming Baby Fore Eli since Peyton's little brother has spared us 30 excruciating years of listening to Patriots fans talk about how they are the best ever....barf. So glad we don't have to endure that! Go Giants!

Had my first weekly doctor appt today. Weight is still at 29lbs so I think that automatically gives me the go ahead for more chocolate shakes. Baby Fore is head down and positioned correctly. She was actually breech at our last ultrasound (19 weeks) but as many babies do, she got herself turned around and situated correctly. No shocker to me to find out that it's her cute little feet that are playing footsie with the right side of my ribcage.

She actually had the hiccups during this appointment and the doc once again said that hiccups are a sign of a healthy baby! Always a good thing to hear.

Looks like we are still on track for a March 3rd due date as of today. I will spare you all the details of how we know this...let's just say that these appointments are a little more invasive than the quickie appointments I'm used to.

We will see if this is still the case next Monday when we get to do it all over again. Good times!
